Real Estate News - Sellers More Willing To Make Changes To Sell!

Real estate pros are reporting that sellers are more willing this year to price their homes competitively as well as change the appearance of their home in order to lure buyers, according to a survey of 600 agents. Agents reported that, compared to last year, sellers are more willing to remove clutter; make cosmetic updates, such as minor repairs; 'depersonalize' the home; and stage the home to better their chances of getting it sold, the survey finds. 'Depersonalizing and making it easy for a buyer to imagine him or herself living in the property is crucial, especially when there are many homes on the market,' says Jessica Edwards, consumer specialist for a major real estate company. Meanwhile, the survey also found that agents say buyers are most putting a value on new or updated kitchens, bathrooms, and open floor plans when touring homes. Source: RISMedia

It really is the price point, but I think a lot of these surveys are way to generic.Under 300k you would be hard pressed to see a seller do anything in the form of improvement here.
